It is easy to get a same day MRI done. The procedure does not take very long. How long the MRI takes depends on what part of the body is to be scanned and whether or not your doctor has ordered any special or extra scans. Normally, the entire exam takes between 15 and 45 minutes.
You must have a doctor’s prescription for the test before you come for your magnetic resonance imaging exam or have your doctor fax it to us to make sure you receive a same day MRI.
There is no need to worry about what you can and cannot eat before the scan as there are no food or drink restrictions.
