3T Wide MRI

At our Plantation office, Tesla MRI offers 3T Wide MRI screening.

These types of scans are known for their better signal intensity which allows for sharper imaging and quicker scanning time.

3T Wide MRI can be useful for patients who suffer from cardiac and abdominal issues. These scans can evaluate the structure of the heart, blood flow and assess the function of the heart.

Anyone who has certain medical conditions such as liver disease, vascular diseases and pancreatic disorders should consider this type of MRI. The magnetic field strength of these types of scans has a better signal-to-noise ratio allowing for an improved image quality. With more detailed imaging the machine will also be able to more accurately map white matter tracts, which can also help assess the conditions of a stroke.

Patients who have any form of medical implants should consult with their doctor if they should move forward with this type of MRI scan. They might not be eligible for this type of MRI. If you decide to move forward with a 3T Wide MRI scan at Tesla MRI, our team will make sure you are comfortable while guiding you through the process.

3 Tesla GE MRI

Our Boca Raton location has a state of the art 3T MRI.

This unit was only for research purposes a few years ago.  We purchased a brand new 3T magnet so that we could produce better MRI images than most of the hospitals in Broward and Palm Beach county.

The images produced by our 3T GE MRI is like watching 4K Ultra TV.  The images are crisp and produce a very fine and detailed image quality.

Open MRI

Our Plantation office offers patient’s an open MRI.

This type of MRI is much more spacious to help those who struggle with claustrophobia. An Open MRI may help ease a patient’s anxiety and also be more accommodating to those patients who need more accessibility due to mobility restrictions. The design of an open MRI allows for more ways of positing the patient for a good scan. Pediatric and Geriatric patients might consider this type of scan since the less restrictive protocols during the procedure.

These scans could be used for various exams for areas such as the abdominal and pelvic region, as well as for head, heart, spinal and chest exams. At Tesla MRI the comfortability of the patients is a priority. If you or someone you know experiences any form of claustrophobia and needs an MRI, an open MRI is a good option to consider.

What's the difference between

the 3 Tesla MRI and the Open MRI?

The 3 Tesla MRI is like watching 4K Ultra TV.

The Open MRI is like watching TV before High Definition.

We recommend all patients try the 3 Tesla MRI first.

If they don’t fit in the machine or are too claustrophobic then we can still get the MRI done in our Open MRI.

You can watch the show on the Open MRI but your doctor can see much more detail with the 3 Tesla MRI.

Digital-X-Ray

Digital X-Ray

Our Plantation location also has a state of the art digital x-ray machine.

It has a very low amount of radiation compared to most other x-ray machines in the area.

Before you get an x-ray with the 20 year old machine at your primary care doctor’s office, ask them to send you to our center instead.

Breast MRI

In our Plantation office the team at Tesla MRI offers breast MRIs for those who are looking for a deeper look into their breast tissue. We have special equipment such as….

Women who have more dense breast tissue might benefit from a breast MRI scan. MRI scans are more specific and targeted to find lesions within the breast tissue and in some cases it can detect more invasive forms of breast cancer earlier than a mammogram. Mammograms and Ultrasounds scans of breast tissue are not as detailed as those of an MRI, which can make it harder to detect tumors. Breast MRI scans can also tell the severity of the lesions, it can differentiate between benign and malignant lesions.

When it comes to determining the size of a tumor, the MRI also appears more accurate than a mammogram. Following a biopsy a Breast MRI could further evaluate such lesions to see  if additional monitoring and medical treatment is required.

If you are looking for a more detailed or accurate scan of your breast tissue do not hesitate to visit our office located in Plantation. Tesla MRI has a strong and caring staff which ensures you will receive the necessary answers while feeling right at home. Our staff will make sure you feel comfortable and will assist you during your time at any of our office locations.

Those who have received breast implants and believe they have ruptures should also consider a breast MRI. With this scan, medical professionals will be able to determine if an individual has saline or silicone implants. This is crucial since the treatment plan and recovery is different for these types of implants. The detailed imaging of these breast MRI scans is crucial for surgical removal plans. With such detailed imaging, the location of the silicone could impact the surgical approach doctors decide to take depending on the surrounding tissue in that area.

The Plantation Tesla MRI office location could help provide you with answers necessary to provide your doctors with the necessary information to plan a treatment plan. But it is important for individuals to know that an MRI of the breast tissue is different and should not be used as a replacement for an ultrasound or mammogram.

DTI

Diffusion Tensor Imaging (DTI) is an MRI-based neuroimaging technology that can detect particular brain abnormalities that are not evident on a regular computed tomography (CT) scan. The DTI is intended to more effectively monitor existing brain abnormalities that occur with a TBI or concussion. A standard CT scan cannot detect minute brain injury, hence DTI is presently the primary neuroimaging method for assessing a TBI or concussion.

Tesla MRI provides cutting-edge imaging and diagnostic tools to ensure our patients receive rapid and accurate diagnoses. Our professional radiologists are nationally acknowledged for clinical competence, innovative diagnostic and treatment procedures, and savvy use of cutting-edge technology.
